From Chagford square head west past Bowdens hardware store on your left, downhill take the left-hand fork signed to “Fernworthy”. Follow the road downhill, uphill and out-along for 2 miles – passing the turning for “Fernworthy Reservoir” on your right. Half a mile after the Fernworthy turning you’ll come to a sharp right corner at Yellands Cross – here take a left (in reality straight-on signed to Moretonhampstead) for 200m until you see a left hand turn signed to “Stiniel” take this turn and head uphill for 200m until you drive off the common and back into the lanes, carry on for 50m until you see new deer-fencing and a double gateway on your right. If it’s wet just park in the entrance gateway – if it’s dry drive in through the double-wooden gateway and park immediately on your right.
